Joshua was born in Lynwood, California and raised in South Gate, California. He discovered his passion for advocacy of immigrant families at a young age, after experiencing at a young age the consequences of our immigration laws within his own household. He realized early on that becoming an attorney would provide him with the proper skills and legal knowledge required to better serve his immigrant community.
Joshua began attending Compton Community College at a young age, graduating with his Associate of Arts in 2006 when he was just seventeen years old. He then attended California State University, Long Beach, where he majored in Political Science.
After attaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2008, he attended Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California part-time, since he was forced to sustain a full-time job as an immigration law paralegal in order to help assist his family financially.
In 2012, Joshua passed the California Bar Examination and successfully began to represent immigrant families who were threatened with the deportation and removal of a family member from the United States. Since then, he has successfully advocated for immigrant’s rights and has assisted hundreds of immigrants in their pursuit of the American dream.
